Meet the Doctor

Ross P. Karlin, D.M.D., F.A.G.D.

Dr. Karlin is committed to individualized patient care, ensuring that each patient’s treatment plan encompasses concerns for comfort, function, overall health, and aesthetics.

He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1983. He graduated from Tufts University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.

A lifelong New Jersey resident, he grew up in Union and attended Union High School.

Dr. Karlin was awarded the Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry in recognition of a commitment to continuing dental education. He has maintained this dedication to lifelong learning and participates in many courses every year.

He has been selected multiple times by his peers as a Top Dentist, as published in New Jersey Monthly magazine.

With an avid interest in emergency care, Dr. Karlin became an Emergency Medical Technician while he was in college. Since then, he has volunteered actively on a local ambulance squad. In addition, Dr. Karlin is a member of the faculty of the CPR Training Center at UMDNJ and regularly teaches CPR to dentists, dental students, and EMTs. He also teaches continuing education programs to dentists and EMTs.

Dr. Karlin’s other interests include photography (you can see his work decorating the office) and automobiles. He instructs for high-performance driving schools and does club racing.

Dr. Karlin lives in Bergen County with his wife, Karen (his high-school sweetheart), and their St. Bernard rescue, Shayna.
